Coaching is a relatively new profession and has been in existence since the late 90s. Through it’s life-changing results it has since become popular. Below are some frequently asked questions to address questions or concerns that may arise.

What is a Life Coach?
Life coaches are professionally trained people who empower others who are experiencing “stuckness” in any aspect of their lives, and through coaching, are able to navigate the client through the maze to identify a way to attain the intended goal/s.

Why would the coach not want to take me on as a client?
If you are looking to become a pro tennis player, you won’t go to a great hockey coach, you will look for a pro tennis player to teach you. There is great value in aligning the coach’s strengths and specialization with the client’s goals.

What’s so great about having a lifestyle coach?
You have a partner who stands for your greatness to steer you to reach your maximum potential. Your lifestyle coach will not beat you, however will hold you accountable to your own standards that you have set. And your lifestyle coach will empower you to see you beyond the limiting beliefs that have held you back.

How does the coaching take place?
Most of the coaching takes place face-to-face, however on request, clients will be accommodated and coached over the telephone or via skype. The introductory sessions are typically face-to-face. The telephone clients are responsible to call in for the session.

How long is a complete coaching cycle?
A coaching cycle is typically completed in 12 coaching sessions, whether held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

How long is a coaching session?

After the introductory session which is typically an hour and a half, the coaching sessions are usually thirty to sixty minutes in duration and can be held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

What is the purpose of the assignments to be done after the coaching session?
To act as a development bridge between the coaching sessions and to encourage the learning and insights to be put into action.

How confidential are the coaching sessions
The most valued attribute of coaching is the totally confidential one-on-one interaction that builds trust and integrity between the coach and the client. Content of each coaching session is held in strictest confidence and not shared with any third party.

Does coaching really work?
Yes it does, alongside the client’s commitment.
